Reduces corrosion - eliminates problematic plastic cap on factory Tesla arm that traps and holds moisture against the ball joint
Better repair - this improved control arm assembly is engineered by the aftermarket leader in suspension components to match the fit of the factory assembly but exceed OE performance and durability
Improved coating - to further help prevent corrosion, steel arm is electrostatically coated
Upgraded design - this front upper right control arm assembly replaces the factory fiber-reinforced plastic design with an improved stamped steel design to provide greater strength and reliability than the OEM assembly
On certain Tesla Model 3 and Y vehicles, the front upper right control arm can crack and separate from the steering knuckle, often without warning and under normal driving conditions. That can cause an increasingly frequent creaking sound in the vehicle's front end and ultimately cause the joint to fail. This Dorman OE FIX upper front suspension control arm and ball joint assembly addresses these costly and dangerous potential failure points so vehicle owners can opt for a more permanent repair than offered by the factory design. Unlike the Tesla plastic arm assembly, our upgraded arm design prevents stress cracks and knuckle separation by utilizing a much stronger stamped steel arm. To help prevent damaging corrosion and moisture intrusion, this design eliminates the plastic cap to allow water to evaporate, and the arm is electrostatically coated. Precision engineered and manufactured to help provide many miles of reliable service, this improved control arm assembly is designed to exactly match the fit of the factory assembly, but far exceed its performance and durability.
