Jeep Wrangler owners who regularly venture off-road love the strength and precise steering articulation of their vehicle's old-school solid front axle. Off the trail and at highway speeds, however, ordinary potholes or uneven pavement can cause sudden and sometimes violent front-end shaking that's uncomfortable and often alarming. This characteristic and infamous Jeep "wobble" is typically the result of a road shock that's transmitted directly through worn components in the original front suspension. This Dorman OE FIX steering wobble repair kit is designed to reduce the susceptibility of the Wrangler's solid front axle to this condition, and help ensure more predictable and consistent steering performance. Our kit has a unique approach that includes three distinct fixes. First, we replace key wear items with more durable solutions, including upgraded ball joints, each of which boasts an oversized ball and a convenient grease fitting for easy service during routine lube jobs. Second, we include a specially redesigned, adjustable track bar with a relocation bracket that helps correct the chassis geometry. And third, we include a heavy-duty steering damper and quick-disconnect sway bar links for even better control and articulation when you go rock-crawling or mudding. Need to clear larger tires? The hardware you'll need is included for Wranglers lifted up to 4". This complete, three-pronged approach is built to put an end to the Wrangler wobble and create a better on-road and off-road experience.
