At Capital Auto Parts, your safety is always our top priority. We’re sharing this information to ensure our customers are aware of a recent safety recall issued by Toyo Tire Canada Inc. that may affect a limited number of Toyo tires sold in Canada.
If you’ve purchased Toyo tires from us in the past year, we strongly encourage you to review the details below to determine whether your tires may be impacted.
What Is the Recall About?
Toyo Tire Canada Inc. has announced a voluntary safety recall involving certain Toyo Open Country® M/T and Toyo Open Country® A/T III tires.
According to Toyo, an isolated issue during the manufacturing process may result in reduced adhesion within the tire’s belt package. In rare cases, this could lead to partial or full separation of the tread/belt, which may increase the risk of loss of vehicle control.
Possible Warning Signs
Drivers may notice:
-
Unusual or rapid tread wear
-
Increased road noise or vibration
-
Bulging in the tread area
If you notice any of these symptoms, stop driving and have your tires inspected immediately.
